Cracked and blown pecans

1 lb. of this year's fresh locally harvested pecans that have been cracked and sent through a blowing process removing larger shell pieces. 

Note: Some shells will remain.

Cracked and Blown Care Instructions: These pecans are the freshest pecans you can get as they are this year's harvest and there is no chemical or heating drying process. Because they still have all of their natural oils, they are shelf stable only when they are left in a breathable packaging like paper or cardboard. These pecans cannot be stored in Ziploc or Tupperware unless they are immediately frozen as they will mold from their own oils if they cannot breathe. 

For best results of longer storage periods: sort and freeze these pecans immediately upon receiving or leave them out on the counter for snacking where they have full access to air.
